The RCE Peterborough/Kawartha/Haliburton is delighted to announce that we will be hosting the RCEs of the America’s Annual Conference on September 29-30th 2026, from 3-6pm EST. Our conference will be fully online. Our theme is Cultivating Hope, Agency and Stewardship: Empowering Youth to Create a Sustainable Future.
The key focus areas will be youth, resilience, cultivating hope and mentorship. In speaking with our RCE Americas Youth Coordinators, they suggested that mentorship, communicating purpose and embodying action were important for inspiring youth leadership. Some RCE’s (like our own) currently do not have a youth chapter, despite there being active youth organizations within our region. Speaking about challenges or goals for inspiring youth leaders would also be very welcome! We are using this as an opportunity to invite youth into our RCE.
