RCE Peterborough/Kawartha/Haliburton is proud that the Pathway to Stewardship and Kinship program, led by Camp Kawartha and housed within our region’s RCE, has received the United Nations University’s Outstanding Flagship Project Award. This prestigious honour recognizes the Pathway as one of the world’s leading examples of Education for Sustainable Development (ESD).
This collaborative project was developed in partnership with Camp Kawartha, Trent University, Fleming College, GreenUP, Kawartha Land Trust, Otonabee Conservation, Five Counties Children’s Centre, Peterborough Public Health, the City of Peterborough, Compass Early Learning and Care, Farms at Work, local school boards and educators, and community organizations. The Pathways Project demonstrates the strong partnerships developed throughout the RCE Peterborough/Kawartha/Haliburton.
